My weekend of sports...

Saturday :Lounge, relax and watch the fights with my family.

It's so much fun when everyone gets together, munch on chips and pizza and hit the bottle.

If you get a chance to watch the UFC100 you should it was very good.

Sunday: Motor Cross

Left the house at 5:30 am to watch motor cross on a Sunday. We drove an hour to get to the tracks to watch my cousin Pam's boyfriend race.

I was very interesting and fun. Plus, alot of topless guy ;) ahaha It was my first time watching this sport in real life. This is a very expensive hobby, but the crowd turn up was awesome. There were about 150 racers at this event from the ages of 5 all the way up to 50 maybe. There were girls who raced too.I was so shock to see kids so young riding on their mini dirt bike going up and down the track. It looks easy but the outcome when something goes terribly wrong is insane. We witness an accident where a boy in his teens was jumping then his bike did a turn in the air he crashed and the racer behind him jump off the slope and crash right in to him. Luckily the boy didn't die but he had to ride in the ambulance to the nearest hospital.

just can't get any better

It begins with the typical Monday blues. Waking up was a terror. Dragging my feet out of the bed was hard to begin with, then realising my eyes were sealed. Literally. I shall not be descriptive as to how my eyes were 'sealed' because it will definitely gross you out. Got into the shower. Cleaned the eyes and decided to go to uni, at the same time monitor my eye condition.

Day went by fairly well. Eyes were tearing and then by mid-day, I had the flu. When nightfall, the sorethroat kicked in. I was in bad shape. And I was contemplating whether to go to uni the following day for a workshop. Tuesday morning came, things were a little "better" for my flu and cough except this time - my left eye and my left cheek swelled. I looked like the villain Two-Face. Bad. Bad. Bad.

And to top it all - Auntie Rose paid me a visit. Yes, out of all 31 days in May, Auntie Rose had to arrive that very morning. Giving me the worst cramps ever.
So there I was, things just can't get any better:

Cough
Sorethroat

It seemed like each virus and condition were fighting for my attention. Utterly painful. Felt like stabbing my stomach. Felt like forking out my eye. Felt like scrubbing my entire lungs and throat. Felt like unscrewing my nose and throw it into the washing machine. Imagining the unimaginable.

By far the "best" week of the year.
Talk about being human.
That's human enough, alright.

I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I'm having 'one of those days'. The reason why I called it as 'one of those days' is because it hits me gradually, and then I figure out, "Oh! It's one of those days!" So I woke up this morning, with a terrible headache. Thanks to the night before. Walked out of my room and found the house dead silent. Parents have gone to Malacca for a day trip. Joy.

And it was the best feeling ever. Not that I hate being with people around the house but I enjoy being home alone. So my 'one of those days' began at 11am. Didn't bother to freshen up myself, I head straight for the television. And there I was, being a typical couch potato. No lunch. No drinks. Just me and my TV. Watched marathon programmes one after another. From Friends to Australia's Next Top Model to THS.

Wished my parents could subscribe Nickeledeon, Cartoon Network and those Fun shows.
I'd feel like a kid again.
Cause I love cartoons!

Also, managed to watch DVD. Finally watched the movie, Taken. Been hearing such good reviews about it. Finally I am able to take time off and enjoyed it. Yes, it was a damn good move! BLOODY GOOD! I cried. I know I am a cry baby when it comes to movies. I can even cry when watching 'The Biggest Loser'. I feel the sudden sadness when I see those people sweating out and suffering through their workouts. It pays to be who you are, sometimes. Oh well...that's life.

My 'one of those days' just continued to be unproductive. More television. No one called me out. Maybe it was a sign to just stay home. Or maybe, nobody wants me. That showed a sign of paranoia kicking in. 'One of those days' just got me feeling a tad lonely. Well a tad, is a lie. I was damn lonely. Best friend was not online. The other best friend was out with her better half. And here I was, drowning my lonely sorrows in front of the television, just like how Rachel from Friends felt total lonesome when she heard Ross was getting married to Emily (one of the episodes I watched). Sigh.

But I must say, my 'one of those days' ended up pretty okay. I guess having some alone time to myself wasn't that bad after all. It did me well. Isolation is good at times.
I laughed.
I cried.
I danced.
I slept.
and best of all, I had time for me.

So it turns out, 'one of those days' is very much needed. However, I can't imagine having 'one of those days' everyday. I'd be a miserable fart. I need colours in my life.

Holidays have begun. Nothing to shout about. Only 2 weeks. Heck, there is no difference. I still got 10 bloody journals pending and Marketing classes to attend. Sigh. All I want now is just a holiday. Basking under sun. Sipping on some chilled beers. And enjoy the sweet sound of the waves lapping against the sand. Wish it could all come true...

Currently, I am suffering from blog drought. Yes. It comes and go. 2nd year degree has obviously taken a toll on me. And to be honest, I am losing it. Assignments used to be fun. But now, it's more like an obligation. Well it has always been, still, the fact is I am sick and tired of rushing for datelines and brainstorming. It's mad! And they say Mass Communication is an easy course. Mark my words, endure what I am going through, then tell me that it is easy....cause I can assure you, you'll suffer as much!

Anyway, I have overdued pictures from events, night outs and birthday parties to share. Yupe, there's heaps of pictures! Capturing every moment possible :)

I'm sitting here on my toilet seat while being treated by my best friend, CrissyB who was absolutely darling enough to have agreed to help me dye my hair. Yes, I know...here am I doing something to my hair yet again. I've got hair issues. Can't seem to maintain and keep to one hairstyle.

I was really tempted to cut my 'already short hair' to even shorter. Don't bother asking why. Like I said, it's called issues. In the end, I resorted to just dying my freshly new black hair to Medium Auburn. We'll just have to wait for the end result.

Amidst with my many assignments, last night I finally managed to squeeze in some time for my social life. A friend of mine, MingWei invited me to a BAT (British American Tobacco) function at Upstairs, Loft. And boy, was I contemplating whether to go or not. IreneLove told me that I should go and treat myself. And I must thank her for saying that. So, I went. All I can say, no regrets!

BAT functions are off the hook. Bottles after bottles! Yes, bottles. A big thanks to MingWei for the invitation. I'm glad that I went and let loose. A much needed night after weeks of non stop devotion to my assignments. It was like a breath of fresh air.
Awesome company.

So I have finish reading Five people you meet in heaven by Mitch Albom. I must say it's a really good read. Mitch Albom's books never fails to serve one purpose - lessons in life. Yet another book he writes about the importance of living in this chaotic world. Whatever happens, it certainly happens for a good reason. I came across many intriguing and compelling quotes, that the author uses. One of which, he talks about love.

Ah yes, the very sound of the word "love". It just brings a sweet pitch to the ears, eh.
We need it.

And obviously, we crave for it.

It has been 38 days already. No meat. Gone green. It's about time I savour some real food. Meat, precisely. I miss my Nando's, Spicy Ayam Goreng McD, Beef noodles and Chicken Rice. All which I have been deprived from almost a month now! So here comes Easter, weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I miss celebrating Easter in Australia. A week holiday and hitting the beach. How nice. Abstaining from meat really took a toll on me. I feel food these days taste like crap. I wish I could have a platter of meat right now, before me. Care to join me on a meat fest? Oh well...at least God will be please with me, I managed to resist such temptations! A pat for myself.

Few minutes ago, as I entered my room, I felt something tingling in my nose. An immediate sneeze came out of that tingling feeling. And it continues...until now! I hate it when I have the cold! It's worse than fever. Your eyes gets watery. Your nose gets stuck. And you'll have this constant urge to sneeze, but nothing comes out of it. And sometimes, if you sneeze hard enough, you feel like you're having a head concussion (at least, that's how I feel).

So here I am lying in bed thinking why am I easily prone to getting sick. I've gotten sick more than twice this year. Needless to say, that is bad. I'm still young, and I'm getting sick so frequently. Makes me feel I'm in my 60s already. Ageing with constant sickness.

Do I have such low immune system?
Perhaps, it's the consequence of partying in the rain during F1 party?
Or could it be the condition of my room? Dusty, maybe?

But as soon as I stepped back to reality. BAH!

Oh yes, Puma Ferrari 09 finally ended. I'd say is by far the best Puma event I've ever attended. Others were average. Puma has went up a notch to throw a good event. This time around: better crowd, impressive "do" in the club, good food and alcohol. Needless to say, the place was hot as hell. Frangipani's really need to fix more air-conditioning! And erm, their floors. The flooring suited the bathroom, if you know what I mean.

And oh, there were a lot of beautiful people and cars. Yes, beautiful would be an understatement. Eye candies were everywhere. Guy or girl or car. Damn, they were good looking. I'll do them all! Malaysia needs more events like these. With pretty people. And of course, much to everyone's content - alcohol.

WARNING: I AM RANTING
I'm sure many of you heard about the Earth Hour move. Initially, I was one of those that was very gung ho about getting involve. Spreading the news, wanting to go for the blackout party and what not. But then a friend of mine told me something and it really hit me. Got me thinking....

First of all, I'd like to say:
EARTH HOUR WAS BULLSHIT! (in Malaysia, that is)
On that very night, was driving pass Bukit Bintang, and guess what? My expectation would be, oh it's going to be dark - heck no, it was fucking bright! BEAMING BRIGHT! It didn't seem at all that Malaysia was one of those country involve in the movement.

Although, Malaysia's intentions were good about saving power and energy. Fight for the environment, but think again. Really, do we need to start on mother earth when we can't even solve our own country's social problem.

MAT REMPITS
SNATCH THEFT
just to name a few...though it's only a few, but these has caused chaos in the country!
Parents are fearing for every child's safety.
Females are no longer being respected.
Males are trying to protect their better halves.

So ask me why again are we doing Earth Hour? It didn't even turn out that great. Yeah, so what. Radio stations were screaming on and on about it. It's just one of those opportunities that they are taking to have a "celebration" - a Blackout Party, is one. Another way to make more money. Silly of us to even partake in such a thing.

A friend of mine pointed this out to me. Ever wondered why in the United States Earth Hour is held at 8.30am? Well, I would say they are smart. And Malaysians, as always, try to be "unique" have it at 8.30pm. Firstly, streetlights are on during the night and it is definitely a no-no to switch it off because of road safety. So then, why even bother having it at night? Next, electricity is most consumed during the day because of office buildings. They use massive amount of light and air-cond. Doesn't it make sense to switch of your lights during the day. Don't talk about households, but instead on a larger scale. Think about it. Personally, I think it makes a whole lot of sense.

And this is the most obvious, why switch off your lights in the night. You can't see shit! You can't eat! You can't do anything. It is as if we are under a State of Emergency. So here we are, eating in darkness (which is totally stupid and pointless because I had to use my mobile phone to look through the menu), and the Americans, are having a good time eating in light - yes, mother nature's light. Smart, aye? Using nature at its best!

I know my rant now would not make any difference as it has already happened. But I really needed to make a point. Show how silly we, Malaysians can get. The point of having Earth Hour is to start a revolution. A revolution whereby Earthlings would be more conscious and aware about switching on a plug. But somehow over here, it became a fiesta. And sadly, a failed one! I'd say, start with the obvious problems we have rather than be a sad disciple of the Westerners. Sigh.

Room Decoration..

Last weekend I re-decorated my room, bought a new mattress, bed frame, sheets and blanket. Never knew thing like this cost so much.. Take a look....

When I 1st moved into my apartment. Please ignore the mess, its part of moving.

And now......

I was pretty lucky because i didn't have to assemble the bed, god knows how long it would take me to do it . Thanks to my cousin's boyfriend and her cousin they put it together in an hour while me and my cousin watched confession of a shopaholic...:)
